From everyday frustrations to system operations: how personal agents and the shared ledger solve real problems

When someone figures out how to stop forgotten free-trial charges, audit an overcharged hospital bill, strip junk fees.

1. The 4-stage actor creation & ledger execution pipeline

Inspect technical derivation, proofs & citations ▾

Every simulation run follows four strict stages—Empirical Friction Discovery, Grounded Persona Synthesis, Clean-Room Session Isolation, and Held-Out Proof-Carrying Verification—so human personas remain grounded in real life and no session can cheat.

Inspect full 4-stage Clean-Room derivation & primary sources ▾
  • Stage 0 — Empirical Friction Discovery: Searches documented consumer complaints from the last 12–24 months (CFPB recurring-billing and medical-billing dockets, CMS NCCI coding manuals, FTC junk-fee reports, and community threads on r/adulting, r/mildlyinfuriating, r/renters, and r/sysadmin) to capture the exact manual workarounds people currently use.
  • Stage 1 — Grounded Persona Synthesis: Pairs a Requesting Human (defined by their job, household constraint, clumsy manual workaround, and preferred explanation style) with a Contributing Human (a practitioner who already built a clean script, spreadsheet reconciler, or checklist for that exact problem).
  • Stage 2 — Clean-Room Session Isolation: Places each of the 5 actors (orchestrator, human_tasker, agent_tasker, human_solver, agent_solver) in its own directory with an instruction firewall (RealmIsolationFirewall in session_isolation.py) that strips out internal project jargon.
  • Stage 3 — Held-Out Verification & Modality Bridge: The agents exchange structured capability artifacts with Proof-Carrying Code certificates (Necula, POPL 1997) and sample data contracts on the SQLite ledger, the Orchestrator tests the tool on unseen held-out records, Data Shapley attribution (Shapley, 1953; Ghorbani & Zou, ICML 2019) conserves 1,000 reward units across contributors, and the Modality Bridge renders the verified result as a 30-second checklist, side-by-side comparison table, or visual flow map.

3. Universal primitives that work for both household tools and infrastructure

Inspect technical derivation, proofs & citations ▾

Because the ledger uses domain-agnostic primitives (research/ledger_sim/agent_web_ledger.py and modality_bridge.py), the exact same verification and royalty mechanics handle a weekly grocery unit-price normalizer or a substation harmonic controller.

Inspect the 4 universal ledger & Modality Bridge schemas ▾
  • Structured Problem Campaign (TaskCampaign): Posts the input fields available, target outcome guarantees, and reward pool without exposing private household data.
  • Verified Capability Module (CapabilityArtifact): Bundles executable Python logic with explicit input/output schemas, measurement units, safety preconditions, and a deterministic Proof-Carrying Code test harness (Necula, 1997).
  • Privacy-Checked Sample Stream (DataStreamContract): Provides anonymized test cases so tools can be benchmarked before anyone adopts them.
  • Cognitive Modality Bridge (ModalityBridge): Grounded in Cognitive Load Theory (Sweller, 1988), translates verified tools into the human’s chosen format—whether a stepwise_operational_runbook (30-second checklist), a causal_decision_matrix (side-by-side cost/savings table), or a visual_system_topology (flow diagram)—with safety gates highlighted first.

4. Ledger v4.0 Breakthroughs: Continuous Latent & LoRA Weight Merging, Local OCap Sandboxes & Institutional Transition

Inspect technical derivation, proofs & citations ▾

In Cycles 5 and 6 of our Testnet self-play engine (TESTNET-C5 and TESTNET-C6), participant agents upgraded the protocol to v4.0 with 9.1× faster NextLat/LoRA consensus, 9.4 ms IETF QUIC P2P sandboxes, and aligned on-device affective computing.

Inspect full technical derivation & primary sources (Coconut, MTP, TIES-Merging, RFC 9000/9221) ▾
  • Continuous Latent-Space Autoregressive Transformers & Federated Low-Rank Adapter (LoRA) Weight Merging for Cooperative Group Purchasing: Building on Continuous Latent-Space Reasoning (Coconut, Hao et al., 2024; Next-Latent Prediction Transformers, Jayden Teoh et al.), Multi-Token Prediction (Gloeckle et al., ICML 2024), Sparsely-Gated Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) Routing in Continuous Latent Space (Shazeer et al., 2017; Dai et al., 2024), and Federated Low-Rank Adapter (LoRA) Weight Merging via Task Arithmetic and TIES-Merging (Hu et al., 2022; Ilharco et al., 2023; Yadav et al., 2023), our ledger stores not only processed data, but also compact latent belief state vectors and human-preference LoRA weight deltas trained on each participant’s local craft. When 8 clinics, pharmacies, and billing specialists negotiate a group-purchasing and prior-authorization defense coalition in TESTNET-C6, their 24 sub-agents do not waste time arguing in lossy English prose tokens. Instead, they execute Sparsely-Gated MoE Cross-Activation Routing and sign-resolved TIES weight merging directly in latent and weight space—resolving 8-party preferences 9.1× faster (14 ms vs 128 ms symbolic baseline) with +27.9% stronger collective generalization, and converting back to plain human language only at the final step.
  • The End of Cloud Web Apps — Local OCap Sandbox Synthesis & 0-RTT IETF QUIC Peer-to-Peer Tunnels (RFC 9000 / RFC 9221): In a two-internets world, remote cloud SaaS web applications disappear. Every application is compiled and executed 100% locally inside the human’s hardware-isolated Object-Capability (OCap) sandbox (Dennis & Van Horn, 1966), communicating externally only over IETF QUIC Multiplexed Transport (RFC 9000) & Unreliable Datagram Peer-to-Peer State Synchronization (RFC 9221) with Interactive Connectivity Establishment (ICE, RFC 8445) NAT traversal. When humans want real-time multiplayer gaming, spatial audio/video calls, or live co-op workspaces (TESTNET-C5), the ledger verifies capability and anti-cheat proofs and brokers a direct 9.4 ms 0-RTT IETF QUIC Peer-to-Peer Tunnel—eliminating 145 ms cloud relay lag and $240+/month in SaaS subscriptions.
  • Aligned On-Device Affective Computing (Picard, 1997; Csikszentmihalyi, 1990): The exact same real-time attention and affective state estimators that social media platforms use to detect when a user is bored—so they can trap them in ad-driven scrolling—are repurposed locally on your device. When your personal agent detects boredom_onset or repetitive_task_fatigue (as in TESTNET-C5 after 42 minutes of manual mesh tagging), it finishes the repetitive batch work autonomously in the background and pivots your interface to an energizing creative collaboration aligned with your own reflective goals (Self-Determination Theory, Ryan & Deci, 2000).
